10. Sustainability & Growth

ElevAte Living’s model maintains financial sustainability by:

  • Structuring program participant fees for full cost coverage
  • Incorporating contingency funding
  • Scaling slowly while maintaining high standards
  • Reinvesting into programs and future expansion

Option B –

In House Meal Preparation emerges as the preferred model for long term growth due to  lower  operating costs and greater participation in healthy living skills.

Nutrition operations at ElevAte Living Dover are structured to support both participant wellbeing and skill development. Grocery shopping for in-house meal preparation will be coordinated by the Executive Director and/or Director of Operations, or the House Manager to ensure consistency, nutritional adequacy, and alignment with program guidelines.

Program participants will be actively involved in meal preparation on a scheduled rotational basis, as outlined in the Program Agreement, fostering accountability, cooperation, and the development of practical life skills. Nutrition education will be incorporated into the program through informal instruction and guidance, supporting participants in building foundational knowledge around balanced meals, meal planning, and healthy eating habits that can be sustained beyond the program.

Program participant fees are to be reviewed on a quarterly basis for cost-of-living adjustments.

11. House Management

The House Manager position is designed as a live-in role, located in the on-site coach house, providing consistent oversight, support, and accountability within the ElevAte Living (Dover) residence. The House Manager is responsible for day-to-day operations of the home, program participant support and supervision, adherence to program policies, and coordination with program leadership to ensure a safe, recovery-focused environment.

During the initial phase of program implementation, and until the residence is fully operational, House Manager oversight will be provided by the Executive Director/Director of Operations. This interim arrangement ensures continuity of leadership, operational stability, and adherence to program standards, with the intent to transition the role to a dedicated live-in House Manager as occupancy and program capacity expand.

12. Safety and Security Protocols

ElevAte Living Dover is equipped with essential safety measures to ensure the safety, security and wellbeing of program participants and staff. Smoke alarms are installed in the basement suite, the upper common area of the main house, and the coach house. Carbon monoxide detectors are also installed in each of these areas. Fire extinguishers are readily accessible in the basement suite kitchenette, the coach house kitchenette, and the upper common area kitchen.

In the event of an evacuation, all program participants and staff are directed to proceed to the designated muster point located in the back laneway behind the park, where attendance will be accounted for and further instructions provided.

Cameras and doorbell video surveillance are installed along the perimeter of the property.

Staff are also CPR/AED and First Aid trained and certified.
